INCY VPN Client: What It Is, Where to Download It and How to Add a Subscription (2026)
INCY is a client for VLESS Reality and Hysteria2 built on the same Xray core as Happ. People look for it for two reasons: it stayed in the Russian App Store all along, and it is the usual fallback when Happ misbehaves. Here is what the app is, where to get it for each system and what to do once it is installed.
The app itself is free and contains no servers. It connects to whatever servers it receives through a subscription link — and that link comes from the service you buy access from. So «download INCY VPN» solves half the task; after installing you still need a subscription.
Where to download INCY
- iPhone and iPad — the App Store; the app is available in the Russian storefront, no account region change needed.
- Android — Google Play. Android TV — the same app on the TV, with the subscription transferred by QR code.
- Apple TV — a separate tvOS build.
- Windows, macOS, Linux (including ARM64) — builds on the developer's GitHub; the link points at the latest release.
First launch and the subscription
- 1On first launch INCY asks about routing rules — choose to run without rules. The app does not need them: the server list and connection parameters arrive with the subscription.
- 2Open your account: the device card has the subscription link with a copy icon next to it. Copy it — every device has its own link.
- 3In INCY tap «+» and import from the clipboard; on a TV or a second device it is easier to scan the QR code from the same card.
- 4Add it as a subscription, not as a single server, so the list of locations refreshes by itself.
- 5Pick a server and connect. The system asks once for permission to add a VPN configuration.
- 6Verify on the leak test page: the address and country must switch to the chosen server.
Three settings people ask about most
- Ping shows «N/A» for every server. By default INCY checks servers with a GET request through the proxy, which mobile networks often block. Tap the gear next to the subscription name → «Ping» → TCP, then refresh the subscription. The number is an estimate, not a diagnosis: you can usually connect even without it.
- Refreshing the subscription is the button with one circular arrow next to the subscription name (Happ has two). Press it first whenever something stops working: server addresses change, and the app keeps the old list.
- Settings → Tunnel holds the routing-profile toggle and the preferred IP type. If some sites stay silent, set IPv4.
How INCY differs from Happ
Same core, same subscription — you can switch clients without changing anything on the service side. The differences are small: Happ applies the split-routing profile a service sends along (Russian sites go direct, everything else through the tunnel), while INCY does not receive that profile, so all traffic goes through the tunnel and banking apps may ask to confirm a login while connected. In return INCY is in the Russian App Store and on TVs, and its buttons are simpler. The full comparison is in choosing a VPN client.
Is INCY VPN free?
The app is free on every system. You only pay for access to servers — that is the service's subscription, and it works in any client.
INCY or Happ — which one?
If you need split routing so that banks and government sites work directly while connected — Happ. On an iPhone that costs an Apple ID with the US region, because Happ is not in the Russian App Store; INCY is, and it is also the answer on Apple TV and Android TV or when Happ behaves oddly. The subscription is the same; switching takes a minute.
Why do servers show «N/A» in INCY?
The GET check is cut by mobile networks and corporate Wi-Fi. Switch it to TCP in the subscription settings (gear → Ping) and refresh the list. «N/A» is about the measurement, not the server.
What should I press on first launch?
Run without rules. Routing rules are not needed — everything required comes with the subscription.
Is there INCY for a TV?
Yes: Android TV from Google Play, Apple TV as a separate tvOS build. The subscription is easiest to move over by QR code from the account.
Did this help?
Nothing follows from the answer; only we see it.
