WataFastThe fourth protocol
we built from scratch.
WataFast, our own protocol, made for networks with heavy blocking, like those in Russia and China. Ours from the app to the server.
The network changes. Your connection doesn’t.
A different Wi-Fi, a laptop that slept and woke up: WataFast carries on with the same session instead of starting over.
Several paths at once.
Your data travels over several connections at the same time. One drops, the others carry on.
Every device has its own key.
The key is made on your device and stays there. The server knows the device by that key.
On the server: a real website.
Whoever looks at the server finds an ordinary website. And a WataFast connection looks like a browser visiting it.
How WataFast differs from VLESS Reality
| Situation | VLESS Reality | WataFast |
|---|---|---|
| The network changes, or the connection drops for a moment | Open connections break, and the app connects again. | The same session: open connections wait for the network and carry on. |
| One of the connections to the server breaks | Whatever went over that connection breaks with it. | The session runs over several connections at once and carries on over the others. |
| Someone opens the server’s address | They see another company’s website. | They see our own website, with a certificate for our domain. |
| Where the access key is made | On the server; it reaches you in the subscription link. | On your device, and it stays there. |
| The protocol’s design | Published, and used by many services. | Not published, and only we use it. |
This is a difference in how the protocols are built, not a measured result. VLESS Reality stays in the app alongside the other protocols.
Encryption
Our own protocol. Not our own cipher.
WataFast encrypts with standard, well-studied algorithms rather than invented ones: X25519, ChaCha20-Poly1305 and the post-quantum ML-KEM-768 (NIST standard FIPS 203). The session keys depend on both X25519 and ML-KEM.
Questions and answers
What is WataFast?
ProxysVPN’s own protocol, built from scratch for networks with heavy blocking. It is ours from the app to the server, and only the ProxysVPN app has it.
How is WataFast different from VLESS Reality?
The session runs over several connections at once and carries on when the network changes; the access key is made on your device; whoever opens the server’s address sees our own website. These are differences in how the protocols are built, not measured results.
Does WataFast have its own encryption?
Its own protocol, not its own cipher. WataFast encrypts with standard algorithms: X25519, ChaCha20-Poly1305 and the post-quantum ML-KEM-768.
Which apps have WataFast?
Today the WataFast protocol is in the apps for Mac, Windows, Linux, Android, Meta Quest and Steam Frame and in the test versions for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Vision Pro. The separate build for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 has it too.
Does WataFast work in Happ or INCY?
No, only the ProxysVPN app has WataFast. Happ, INCY and other apps that take a subscription link connect without it, over VLESS Reality and the other protocols.
